Sandra LePino, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, RNFA, CNOR

Neurosurgical Nurse Practitioner

Sandra LePino was born and raised in Westchester, NY. She attended the State University of New York at Purchase where she majored in Literature and minored in Elementary Special Education. She and her husband moved to the DFW area in 2007 and after having children Sandra decided to pursue her lifelong passion of caring for people through Nursing. She received her RN from Collin College, a BSN from Western Governors University, and an MSN in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program from The University of Texas at Arlington where she was honored with induction into the Delta Theta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition, Sandra completed her training at the National Institute of First Assisting (NIFA) and obtained her RNFA.

She is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing, board certified from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and credentialed by the Competency and Credentialing Institute as a Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR)

She has Allied Health privileges at Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Plano. Her professional affiliations include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, and the Texas Nursing Association.

Prior to working in Neurosurgery, Sandra was the Surgical Services Coordinator and First Assist for the Burn and Reconstructive Center at Medical City Plano, a level 1 Trauma center. There, she trained with world renowned surgeons and pioneers in burn care and plastic reconstruction. Sandra is passionate about providing exceptional care for her patients. She is dedicated, giving each patient outstanding, individualized healthcare, and is committed to her work as a patient advocate. She brings her passion and enthusiasm to Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine where she assists Dr. Denning in the surgical, hospital, and clinic settings. When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 + years, their 5 children, 3 dogs and grand puppy.
